Mathweave
Terms and conditions
Effective 3 September 2026. These terms form the agreement between you and Mathweave when you use this site or subscribe to a practice plan. Singapore law governs this agreement. Read the privacy policy for how we handle your family's personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
Who you are agreeing with
Mathweave is operated by Mathweave Pte Ltd, UEN 202638377E. We sell to families in Singapore in Singapore dollars. An account holder must be a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 and able to enter this agreement. A child does not open an account or buy a plan. Contact us at hello@mathweave.com.
The service we provide
Mathweave provides animated maths lessons and online practice for primary school pupils. The lesson films are free to watch now. The paid plan adds original practice questions, an on-screen solution for every question and a progress record by question type. We may add, change or withdraw content and features. Mathweave is a teaching resource, not a school, and we do not promise a grade, examination result or school placement. If we withdraw a material part of paid practice without a reasonable substitute, we refund the unused part of the paid term.
Your account, and your child's profile
Keep access to your email or Google account secure and do not share your sign in details. You are responsible for activity under your account unless it results from our failure to use reasonable care or security. A child has a profile inside the parent's account, not a separate account. You give permission before the profile stores data. The profile stores a display name, level, a picture from our set and practice answers. Do not enter a child's date of birth, school, photograph, home address, email address, phone number or other unnecessary detail. You can delete a child profile or withdraw permission from the account page. Either action deletes that child's record, subject to records we must keep for a legal or business purpose.
The free trial
Each eligible plan starts with a 7-day free trial when you give permission and create the child profile. No card is needed. The trial ends on its own and never becomes a paid plan. We charge nothing unless you later choose a plan and complete checkout. We email you during the trial with its end date and a way to choose a paid plan. We send that reminder at least 3 days before the trial ends, not counting Saturdays, Sundays and Singapore public holidays. If mobile verification is requested, a verified Singapore mobile number can receive only one trial. Do not move a plan between children to obtain another trial. Nothing here removes a refund or other remedy given by Singapore law if a required reminder is not sent.
Plans, prices and payment
One plan covers one child. Monthly costs S$39 and renews each month. Yearly costs S$390 and renews each year. We may show the Yearly price as S$32.50 a month beside a crossed-out S$39. S$39 is the monthly price, not a previous Yearly price. S$32.50 is S$390 divided across 12 months, not a monthly instalment. We charge S$390 in one payment for a Yearly term. “2 months free” compares S$390 with twelve Monthly payments of S$39. S$390 is the same as ten Monthly payments.
Renewal, and how to cancel
A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each term until you cancel. You can cancel at any time under Manage billing on the account page. There is no cancellation fee. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and paid practice remains available until the end of the term already paid for. Deleting a child profile or withdrawing permission deletes the child's record but does not cancel billing. Cancel the plan as well. If Manage billing does not work, email hello@mathweave.com before the renewal date. We record the time of the request and cancel the plan.
Refunds
We do not normally refund part of a term because you changed your mind, stopped using the service or cancelled after renewal. You keep access until that paid term ends. We refund or credit the amount required by law, a wrong or duplicate charge, a renewal caused by our failure to apply a cancellation request made before renewal, or the unused part of a term when we permanently withdraw a material part of paid practice without a reasonable substitute. Email hello@mathweave.com with the account email and charge date. Do not send a card number. Nothing in these terms removes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act.
If we change the price
A price change does not alter a term already paid for. We give at least 30 days' notice before a new price applies at renewal. The notice gives the new price, its first renewal date and the way to cancel. Cancel before that renewal if you do not want to pay the new price. We do not treat silence as agreement where the law requires a clear choice.
How the service may be used
The plan is for one family's personal learning at home. Do not share the account outside your household, use one plan for more than one child, teach a class or tuition group with it, scrape or copy the site in bulk, bypass payment or security controls, attack the service, upload harmful code, or copy, sell or republish our content except where the law permits. We may limit, suspend or close an account to protect the service, investigate misuse or meet a legal duty. Where practical, we give the reason and a reasonable chance to respond.
Who owns what is on the site
Mathweave Pte Ltd and its licensors own the films, questions, worked solutions, drawings, software, name, mark and other site content. Every published question is original. A reference to the style of a school paper does not mean that we reproduce that paper. You may link to a free lesson page and print or save free material for your family's own learning. While a plan is active, you may print practice material for the child it covers. You may not reproduce, sell, publicly screen or redistribute the content without written permission unless Singapore law allows it. Your child's answers remain yours. We use them only for the purposes set out in the privacy policy.
Personal data
We collect the parent's email address for sign in, a protected record of a mobile number if it is verified for the trial, the child profile details entered by the parent, the child's practice answers and security records. We do not sell personal data or use a child's data for advertising. The account page lets you export the complete record we hold for a child, delete a child profile and withdraw permission. For access, correction, deletion or any other data request, email hello@mathweave.com. Full collection, use, sharing and retention details are in the privacy policy.
Closing your account
Email hello@mathweave.com from the address on the account to close it. Cancel any paid plan first, or ask us to cancel it in the same message. We delete account and child data under the periods in the privacy policy and keep only records still needed for a legal or business purpose. We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach, fraud, harm to another person, a security threat or a legal requirement. Where the problem can be fixed, we normally give notice and a reasonable chance to fix it. If we close a paid account for another reason, we refund the unused part of the term.
Availability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Online services sometimes need maintenance or fail, so we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may change or stop the service. If Mathweave closes, we give reasonable notice where possible, make no further renewal charge and refund any unused part of a paid term.
What we are responsible for, and what we are not
Nothing in these terms limits responsibility for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing limits your mandatory rights under Singapore consumer law. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that neither side could reasonably foresee. To the same extent, our total responsibility for a paid plan is limited to the fees you paid for it in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Changes, governing law and disputes
We may update these terms for a legal, security or service reason. The current version and effective date appear on this page. We email you before a material change takes effect. A change that reduces your rights during a paid term normally applies from the next renewal, and we ask for a fresh agreement where the law requires one. Singapore law governs these terms and any dispute. Email hello@mathweave.com first so we can try to resolve the problem. You may still use a court or tribunal with jurisdiction, contact the Consumers Association of Singapore, or use the Small Claims Tribunals where the claim qualifies.
